A study on the actual usage of perennial and native plants in streetside flower beds

The purpose of this research is to clarify the actual usage perennial and native plants in streetside flower beds. We surveyed 43 places community beds summer-autumn 2018 44 spring 2019 Tama city. results survey showed that a total 162 kinds (annual plants: 54sp. / 108sp.) were confirmed. divided into three types, ①Annual plant type, ②Mixed ③perennial type. Moreover ① ② sub-units, a.High-constancy species b.Differential type earch other. All all, it was revealed overall half or more annual plant-based beds, but multi-kind put on certain bed behind trees buildings. In addition, use increased as area became big. It thought aimed at low maintenance. At street with much pedestrian traffic be located business district, will raise admiration value utilize various plants.
